Winona State University - Softball Camps

Fall/Winter Hitting Academy

Winona State Softball Fall and Winter Hitting Academy for players in 5th-12th grade. Each sessions will be broken up into two parts. The first 30 minutes will be an instruction session in which players will work with coaching staff members and will be taught the pillars of the hitting philosophy practiced at Winona State.  Instruction will include both tee and toss drills along with hitting approach. The second half of each session will use our Hittrax technology for athletes to compete in simulated game format to view outcome of batted balls as well as being able to see their Distance, Exit Velocity, and other relative metrics.

Players can sign up for as many sessions as they wish and for as many weeks as they wish.

Location: Softball Pit / Cage area of Integrated Wellness Center/Memorial Hall on the WSU Campus.

Winona State is a Division II University located in Winona, MN. In the past four seasons, Winona State has  averaged 50 victories a year, won two NSIC Championships and one NSIC Tournament Championship, and  advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the sixteenth time in eighteen years. The Warriors were led by the  N.F.C.A. Central Region “Coaching Staff of the Year”,  and four-time  NSIC “Coach of the Year” Greg Jones and Assistant Coach Ali Nowak, who was an All-American for the Warriors during her playing career.

Concussion Information:
I understand that if my child is diagnosed with a concussion or concussion like symptoms at a Winona State University Athletic Camp, they will no longer be allowed to participate at camp. As a parent/legal guardian I must make arrangements to remove the child from camp as soon as I have been notified of my child’s condition.
